HawkSelf + Combo
HawkSelf is a software tool one person, or a whole working group, can use to locate their geographic location, in real time. It has two kinds of applications: the Internet module and the mobile GPS module. These are complementary devices, ideal for outdoor work, families and enterprises. Hawk chose us to reposition its brand, with a strategy communicating their service expansion.
How did we get started?
When we met Hawk, the company was a pioneer in the business, but it needed a strategic change in the service. They wanted to expand their service to reach more sectors within the market and to update the actual Hawkself devices.
HawkSelf has an application available for mobile phones that enables people to connect through the internet. This application helps small businesses and big corporations alike to organize and optimize their work.
What were we looking for?
Originally, Hawkself was marketing their services to parents and their teenage kids. The device allowed them to keep track of their children's whereabouts and to receive alerts in the event of trouble. It was also great for keeping closely connected with elderly people. In both cases it offered a family-based service designed to help locate the most vulnerable members of a family.
The objective of our strategy was to expand the brand's offerings. HawkSelf now has complete service, for businesses and for families.
How did we do it?
We developed two applications for the brand: the Internet module and the mobile GPS module. We worked on the design of the mobile application, including the graphic user-interface for the Blackberry models 7100, 8800 and Curve. We also restyled the micro-site www.hawkself.com, where people can find descriptions of services, available plans, benefits, and customer service.
What did we achieve?
HawkSelf now has a better image and strategy. The expansion of their service doubled in size and resulted in a repositioning of the brand. Today HawkSelf is ready to compete in the GPS market, targeting all types of demographics.
